O Caritas

Turn

There’s no gris gris to protect you from turning the corner. No talisman, no magical amulet, no charm, no phylactery, no juju. The corner is there; it’s always there. And when you arrive at it, you make the turn. That’s it.

I don’t know what’s around the turn. Another path, maybe; another long straight road ending in another turn. Maybe nothing at all. Maybe it’s all turns and corners, I don’t know. Maybe what seems like a straight road is just a long gentle curve. Doesn’t matter. Whatever it is, it turns at the end.

And you turn with it.
