Ruby

It’s a shame that Viola ‘Arkwright Ruby’ is so quick to flower from seeds sown in spring.

If only it could hold back a little longer.

It would be the perfect thing to brighten a dark January day.

How it would rise up its merry little head after the snow shower had passed.

How it would nod farewell with the setting sun and greet the crescent moon with a flutter of petals.
