In California, beginning about October we have a perpetual state of fall until March or so. Between the hot indian summer, the extreme winds, the chill mornings and blustery days, it eventually becomes apparent whether things are of a perennial nature, or whether they are here to stay. It is a good time to try new things. To be a part of the energy of growth and change that is the earth's way of absorbing what has past, to form what will be.
