Frickin' Lasers I

Tom Benedict

I really do get to play with frickin' lasers at work. This is our laser machining center, which we use primarily to make optical masks for our facility and for academic facilities in Canada and France. It's a fairly low power NdYAG, but the positioning stages are good to better than a micron, and when in good alignment the laser is capable of seven micron kerf.
