Here are the lessons I've learned:

1) a blow torch makes a terrific flame, but it melts plastic and incinerates chocolate much too quickly to be an interesting photograph
2) lighter fluid is okay, but gasoline gives a brighter and more pronounced flame
3) setting malted milk balls on fire isn't as interesting as you'd think
4) raspberry jelly acts as a nice flame retardant, keeping the milk chocolate from melting too fast and losing its form
5) fire draws an audience
