Los Angeles, 2019 -- the future

Greg Fallis

The city is dark, perpetually drenched by a greasy drizzle, the air thick with the smell of ramen and ozone--like burning copper wire filtered through sesame oil and ginger. The safer streets are densely packed, filled with a semi-constant din, the acoustically brittle cacophony of commerce, laterally channeled and reverberating off senescent former office structures and once-elegant apartment buildings.
