Apparently swimming is the one form of exercise that works every muscle- even your inner organs. Nothing else makes me feel so at peace. For someone who has a hard time sitting when I don't have to, swimming is a form of cardiovascular meditation. It requires no thought and yet I find it provides mental space which allows me to work through things or simply be, floating and held in water's buoyant womb.
