I found it difficult taking this picture.I was walking around in Antwerp, a major city in Belgium and noticed from afar this little old woman sitting in the middle of the street in an old crummy wheelchair. My mind began turning round, should I, could I, would I ?? Man, I almost felt guilty taking the shot but I had to do it.I would not forgive myself if I hadn't taken this shot but I felt like a hunter who had taken a prey that was bound and gagged to a tree and impossible to miss ! Now I kinda snuck up on her behind some parked cars, just because i felt guilty and wanted to take the shot quickly and then take of.I saw the green van parked not far from her and the driver making way to open the backdoors of the van.The van had some text on it that read something like " home for the elderly so and so...".She was likely being picked up to meat other oldfolks at the nursery home or the old folks home.I took several shots. At first this lady looked kinda startled and not very pleased. But, after regaining my senses, and downtalking my feeling of guilt in my head, I kneeled down beside her and started explaining to her why I took the photos and what the purpose was.She was hardhearing and I had to speak up but I was under the impression that she understood what i said.I took some more photos and on the last of them she actually managed to produce a faint smile.
Thank you lovely lady.I'm thinking of you.
