In almost every city there's an area that was once devoted to manufacturing. But those jobs are all gone now and all that's left is a collection of old brick buildings, abandoned except for the homeless and the drug addicts and the low-functioning crazy people. But there's a sort of derelict beauty there that I find weirdly compelling.
