i don't know about this farm stuff

I know a baby cow is called a calf. And a male cow is a bull. I'm pretty sure a female cow is just called a cow. Or maybe it's a heifer? Or is that a young cow? I don't know. I sorta kinda knew that female cows could have horns, but lawdy.

Anyway, on my Thursday walk I abandoned the bicycle path and started hiking up (or maybe it was down) some railroad tracks and I came across these two. Actually there were more of these massively-horned bovines loafing near the tracks, but these two were the least intimidating.
