Rage

Linus Gelber

I used to live up the street from this spot on Richdale Avenue in Porter Square, which is either in Cambridge or Somerville and frankly I can't remember which.

Each winter when I head up to Boston for the 24-Hour Science Fiction Film Marathon, which takes place over Presidents' Day weekend, I try to get in some wandering photo time. This year I don't shoot a lot, but I do ramble through the old haunts; I lived near here, and then later I lived just off Davis Square, and I visit both of the old homesteads.

I've walked this block a couple of years with my camera in hand, and whenever I pass this evocative corner building I take a set of pictures. This year it seemed time to prep and post one, at last.

Sometimes, old rage doesn't die. It just gets overgrown and neglected.
