Funny thing happened on my way through Thursday...

I went to have lunch with my friend Rich over at Jake's. Walking in the door, Jim, a friend of ours, greeted me. I wasn't expecting to see him and was pleasantly surprised. Rich had called him and asked him to join us. Good call. Rich arrived a little while later and we set to the serious business of eating pizza & sandwiches.

After a short while some people that know Jim showed up unexpectedly. Not long after, a few people Rich had worked with arrived. Also unexpectedly. And not long after that, two friends of mine walked in. That's them above: Keith & Steve.

It was one of those days when it felt like I was living in a small town rather than in the sprawl of Silicon Valley.
