Since weather records have been systematically recorded (over 100 years of data for sure), this month will be the warmest ever in the world. I write this as the U.S. southwest is experiencing an unprecedented heat dome. Some would offer that this is great for the more northern regions because it will create warming and longer growing seasons. Small comfort for a world on fire.
