5. HARVEST TIME

While it is true to say that many rice farmers now hire a contractor with a combine harvester to gather the ripened rice crop, others less fortunate, as depicted in this image, still harvest by hand.
Though it is perhaps not as back-breaking a task as crop transplanting it is still arduous work and those doing it deserve every hard earned penny they can make.
