The rice crop has now been sold and the stalks built into old-fashioned stacks. This will be used to feed the buffalo in the coming months. Meanwhile, organic fertilizer has been applied to the nursery area; the ground has been tilled and now awaits the arrival of a new growing cycle. In these parts the farmers are lucky that they enjoy good irrigation and can look forward to obtaining three crops every thirteen months.
