Remember

Carmen Sisson

Again, an old pic from the archives, but I realized something tonight. This was the first shoe photograph I made, writing this entry on my site:

Some things that are lost can never be regained; some paths that are taken were never ours to choose. As children, we walk in whatever shoes we are given, reach out to take whatever hand is offered. Sometimes we make the wrong choice.

Then came the Timberland shot that signified a leap in so many ways. My first trip out of the state, growth, rebirth, all of it. Then came an even stronger pair of shoes. The "F Me, F YOU" boots. I'm glad this project came up, because I can see my own progression clearly just by looking at my shoes.
