For the Utata Weekend Project, "Utata this is me."

The challenge is to create a self-portrait in still life. I'm not sure I've completely captured myself here, but for those who are interested in my narcisstic self-indulgence:
I focused on the word "exploration," because I feel like most of my favourite things in life center around some manner of exploring-- travel: exploring places, university, reading and writing: exploring ideas, photography: exploring light, colour and representation. I've tried to represent all of those things here-- the USB drive contains my thesis, while at the bottom of the picture we see photos from my recent travels. The dictionary represents words which are central to many my love of reading, writing and research, the USB drive contains my thesis, and the red scarf is in there because red, as my favourite colour, reminds me to be passionate about what I do (even if I don't always feel that way from day to day).
