I'm so glad I was late for dinnertime, though it would have made for a fascinating series of photos, had I been there and out of sight.

From talking to one of the caretakers of the preserve, I found out that I was apparently the first person to come across this grisly scene. Talking with him for awhile, we figure it was likely a female mallard duck which was "et" by a red fox.

Of course, red fox are supposed to be on the Atkins Diet!!
