Discomposure: Foggy morning tee time

Utata's summer project 2015 invites breaking rules of composition. This image of a distant golfer on a foggy morning required cropping to remove foreground distractions. What remains interests me but seems outside the normal compositional guidelines (largely empty frame, ignore rule of thirds).

Project category:
Discomposure—the rule of thirds? straight horizons? uncluttered backgrounds? Forget about it.
