Isolated Greens

Ferns are very common plants here in New Zealand. This could be some sort of fern, but it could just as easily be some kind of evergreen. We have a lot of evergreen plants too. Regardless of what this little plant is, the sharp and pointy leaves aren’t nearly as tough and sharp as they look. They’re yet another example of the tiny little green plants that cover the dark and shaded areas and thrive in the darkness created by their larger cousins. They probably won’t wind up in any bouquets, but that doesn’t change the fact that when you take the chance to look closely at them, there’s something intriguing there.
