Steffe

December Window

Suddenly, out of nowhere, the festive season has sprung itself upon us.

There is the rush of present hunting. Decorations are tied onto office doors, draped over products in shop windows. Lights are decking out rooflines, fencelines and anything vaguely resembling a sitka spruce or pine.

In towns and villages Christmas lights have been switched on by town council mayors, singers and actors with leading or minor roles. Singers are warming up their winter voices ready for an evening or two of carolling and carousing.

If this is not for you, be like Stefan, choose not to focus on them. Let Christmas drift on by as you turn your attention to something else. Before too long it will be over, the lights switched off and the tinsel packed away for another year.
