Leaving Old Forge: Ed, Julia, Gail and Elliot

When we come home to the Wyoming Valley pizza is on our mind.
The first night might be Tommy's, thin crust and close to home in Kingston. Going further afield next day, lying on a dock at Harvey's Lake, jumping in now and then to get cool, we order Joe's Grotto, a classic. If it's the weekend we get Pig Pizza, different from the others, thick, almost fried, salty, with onions, a blast from the past. Forty Fort in the good old days.
And then there's Old Forge.
This year we had 17 with us nestled in a corner of Arcaro and Genells. We ordered two trays of red, and some slices of double crust white with broccoli. It's a thick pizza with crispy crust, fresh tomatoes topped with gooey cheese. 17 people stopped talking when the pizza arrived, all you heard was mmmm. cold pizza for breakfast next day.
