It took a while for it to get dark, but it was wonderful to see a line of planets and the Moon during the fading nautical twilight. Today was National Parks Day and our astronomy club was invited by the folks at Emily Provincial Park just west of Peterborough to hold a public observing session. They had us last year for International Year of Astronomy during their Parks Day program and it was a huge success that they invited us again this year.
