Showing Today

A part of my submission to this summer's Utata Big Project, "Homage". The subject of this homage being William Eggleston
--
I thought Eggleston would be the easiest to homage because his work seems so ordinary. Ordinary subjects photographed in an ordinary way. The "Democratic Camera" means there are potential Eggleston photo ops everywhere. But Eggleston offers meaning in his ordinary photos that isn't always easy to decipher, and that ultimately meant thought, and work and sometimes luck were needed from me. In a project with a strict deadline the lucky part can be the hardest thing to find.
