Pirate (corsair) and musicians

Saint Malo is a port town, and has a walled city on the edge of the sea. It's well set up for tourists – some of the shops even stay open at lunchtimes. By the afternoon things start getting crowded, and legs start getting tired. So while there was some entertainment on offer (the band is called En Cours De Root) we stopped and let the crêpes we'd just eaten go down and watch some enthusiastic street musicians. The pirate isn't part of the band. In fact he's a “corsair” - a “pirate with a license” is the English translation.

We wanted a break from the crowds so we climbed the city walls and looked out on the harbour and watched the boats and ships coming and going. Then it was back into the city to find something else to eat.
