Monson Station

A little over 20 years ago, cleaning out my parents house, I came across some old train models I had started when I was in my early teens. Most of the suff was junk so it got tossed. A couple of items looked interesting enough to bring home to see about finishing some rainy day.

Fast forward a decade's rainy days and I found myself hooked on modeling pieces of a little known narrow gauge railroad in an out of the way place in Maine I'd never seen nor visited before: The Monson Railroad.

All the model items I've built I've done with the idea of some day creating a small operating diorama. The latest structure I've designed & put together is this station that stands in the town of Monson. It still needs a few detail items and some dirtying up before it's done.

All of the items I designed and built I've also made as limited run kits for sale to other modelers. A hobby that pays for itself! But not this station. A somewhat less accurate (in my opinion) model kit was already available.
