Ewing and Muriel Kauffman are well known in Kansas City. Ewing was an entrepreneur in the pharmaceutical business but their legacy is their constant flow of good works in the community, scholarships, baseball, the performing arts all benefited from their largess. This sculpture outside the Kauffman Center, home of the Kaufmann Foundation, shows them holding hands in perpetuity.
