Hands do work, all kinds of work, from pulling in fishing nets to typing on keyboards. Typically someone who "works with their hands" is meant to infer the rough work of "manual" labor but in truth we all work with our hands no matter if you are a doctor, lawyer, sailor, computer programmer, librarian, or bus driver.
